Recently, I have started cooking every day and managing the kitchen. I have to admit—I have officially entered adulthood. I remember teasing my mother for spending endless hours in the kitchen, but now I understand why that happens. My goal has always been to avoid spending long hours in the kitchen myself. Yet, every morning, I wake up to multiple raw ingredients and wonder what to cook. It feels like a daunting task, compounded by the need to figure out what went into previous meals, whether the meal is balanced, and when a particular vegetable was last used—questions like these constantly swirl in my mind.
The only way to tackle this was to plan a weekly meal schedule. This approach has made it significantly easier to optimize grocery shopping, simplify meal prep, and reduce my anxiety. I strive to keep the meals healthy, balanced, and centered on regular ingredients, with a focus on homestyle Indian food. Starting this week, I plan to share my meal plans every Sunday. While I’m two days late this time, I’ll ensure consistency moving forward.
A Festive Beginning
This week coincides with the Pongal/Sankranthi festival, which holds a special place in our hearts. To celebrate, the first few days will feature a South Indian menu filled with festive flavours and traditions.

Stay tuned for more weekly meal plans!
